If you do not have an ID or PIN, you must provide a copy of an official document (such as a deed) at the end of this application that proves you owned the property on October 1, 2021.

Enter the block and lot number of the property exactly as listed on your property tax bill, including any decimal points and suffixes.

For example, if the block is 3105.62:

Correct: 3105.62

Unfortunately, because you answered "No" to the previous question, you are not eligible for the ANCHOR benefit as a homeowner and you should not file this application. If you were a tenant (renter) on October 1, 2021, see the Division’s website at www.nj.gov/treasury/apps/tenant/ for eligibility and filing information for renters.

  • a copy of the deceased applicant's death certificate
  • a copy of an official document such as a driver's license, marriage certificate, or divorce decree indicating the right to assume the use of your new name
  • a copy of an official document proving ownership of your property on October 1, 2021, (such as a deed) or documentation establishing your right to occupy the property (such as an executory contract of sale)
  • a complete copy of the trust agreement
  • a copy of the death certificate for your deceased spouse/civil union partner
  • a copy of your Social Security card
